I'm not in my twenties, either, but I could hear the 15.8 if I turned my speakers up all the way!

Unfortunately, yes. (I'm 33.)
It's why I get irritable if the television set is on, even if it's muted.

Yeah, I hear those sounds, too. Awful. They make my teeth itch.

I can hear up to 21.1MHz, and I'm 37. I always knew high pitched sounds bothered me more than other people.

One of my web design students played that at our last class. Several of my students could hear them..I was totally at a loss.

I can hear up to the 16.whatever tone... but found them all quite annoying. If I had a tone like that on my phone, I would get mad every time the phone rang! Odd that one's age makes a difference in which tones one can hear.

yeah, I'm getting old. I'm 36 and could only hear up to 17.7.....
*sigh*

Why, oh why did I try this? At first I could only hear up to 10, then after reading Chris' comment I turned my speakers up. Not much better, just up to 14.1; but then, I will be 57 in 10 weeks. Old age has its advantages, I am glad I don't have to listen to those sounds while in public transportation.
